Annotatsiya
Abstract. This article analyzes the teaching process based on thesemiotic systems of the English and Uzbek languages and the functionalorientation of speech. It examines the coherence of structural andcommunicative approaches in teaching English and their significance indeveloping students’ speech and communicative competence.Furthermore, through a comparative analysis of the similarities anddifferences between English and Uzbek, effective teaching methods arejustified. The article also emphasizes the relationship between languageand thinking, as well as the necessity of an appropriate methodologicalapproach to students’ errors.
