Abstract: This article scientifically analyzes effective pedagogicalmethods for forming and developing speech etiquette competence instudents during foreign language instruction. In modern languageteaching methodology, communicative competence occupies a crucialposition, and one of its integral components is speech etiquettecompetence. Speech etiquette competence reflects a language learner’sability to use linguistic units appropriately, politely, and acceptably inspecific social contexts. This competence encompasses not only linguisticknowledge but also socio-cultural norms and communication culture. Thearticle highlights the essence of speech etiquette competence in foreignlanguage teaching, its role within the system of communicativecompetence, and methodological approaches that contribute to itsdevelopment in students. This article is of practical significance foreducators, researchers, and language learners engaged in foreignlanguage teaching methodology and may serve to enhance contemporaryeducational practices.
