Abstract: This article provides a comprehensive analysis of theimpact of artificial intelligence tools on students’ writing skills. Specialattention is given to the role of AI-based platforms and applicationswidely used in modern education in shaping and developing academicwriting competence. The study highlights the positive contributions ofthese technologies, including improvements in accuracy, coherence,grammatical correctness, and stylistic richness of students’ written work.At the same time, the paper examines potential drawbacksassociated with excessive reliance on AI tools, such as the decline of independent thinking, increased risk of plagiarism, and reducedcreativity in writing. Furthermore, practical recommendations areoffered for the effective and responsible use of artificial intelligence inenhancing students’ writing abilities.
